Sun, Jun 29: Fly to Anchorage, Alaska. Transfer by coach to the Anchorage Hilton located right in the center of the city. Enjoy a welcome dinner with fellow trip members. (Meals: D)
Mon, Jun 30: Journey aboard Holland America’s award-winning McKinley Explorer as you traverse the Great Land to Denali National Park! Spend two nights at McKinley Chalets on the Nenana River. Dinner and musical entertainment is included at the rollicking Cabin Nite Dinner Theatre. (D)
Tue, Jul 1: Embark on the 6- to 8-hour Tundra Wilderness Tour. Travel 53 miles deep into Denali National Park, home to North America's highest peak, Mt. McKinley. Denali has wildlife such as grizzlies, dall sheep, moose and caribou! Remainder of day to enjoy optional activities such as flightseeing, river rafting, horseback tours and husky homestead tour. Wed, Jul 2: Enjoy a relaxing morning before reboarding the McKinley Explorer for sightseeing as you travel to Fairbanks. Check into your hotel for frontier hospitality.
Thu, Jul 3: Today cruise the Chena and Tenana Rivers via riverboat to visit a recreated native Indian village and see a bush plane take off. Continue your adventure aboard Holland America’s luxury motorcoaches. Enjoy sightseeing along the famed Alaska Highway to Tok for the night.
Fri, Jul 4: Travel the remote Taylor Highway to Chicken, Alaska (yes, Chicken!) and on to Eagle to cruise up the remote Yukon River to Dawson City. Spend two nights in the heart of this Klondike National Historic Site. (L, D)
Sat, Jul 5: Dawson City, once the largest city west of Winnipeg and north of Seattle, was the heart of the gold rush. Soak up the gold rush atmosphere or take an optional tour to untamed Tombstone Territorial Park. This ancient wonderland features unique and rugged landscapes and a full range of wildlife.
Sun, Jul 6: Continue your adventures by luxury motorcoach to Whitehorse, capital of the Yukon. Tonight kick up your heels at the uproarious Frantic Follies Vaudeville Revue. (L)
Mon, Jul 7: This Klondike Trail adventure features the vintage White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad from Carcross to Lake Bennett. Enjoy an included lunch and walking tour, then reboard the train to Skagway and descend from 3,000 feet to sea level through Alaska’s most spectacular country! Overnight in Skagway. (L)
Tue, Jul 8: Transfer to your five-star ship, and spend the day either exploring on board or ashore. There is time for an optional excursion before sailing this evening. Gather with fellow tour members for dinner in the dining room. (L, D)
Wed, Jul 9: Sail in Glacier Bay National Park. Spend the day on deck, listen to glaciers calving, see seals and sea lions and search for whales! Cruise up close to some of the most actively-calving glaciers. National Park Rangers will board and provide commentary. (B, L, D)
Thu, Jul 10: Spend the day in Ketchikan, located in the Tongass National Forest. Immerse yourself in Tlingit Indian culture and view the world's largest collection of totem poles, kayak the waterfront or stroll the boardwalk. (B, L, D)
Fri, Jul 11: Spend a relaxing day as you sail through the Inside Passage. (B, L, D)
Sat, Jul 12: Disembark the ship after breakfast. Afternoon flights home from Vancouver or Seattle. (B)
