Picasso & Chicago

Art Institute of Chicago Exhibit & “Catch Me If You Can”

April 2-3, 2013

Tue / Wed - 2 Days

Treat yourself to two days of cultural activities in the Windy City! View over 250 fine examples of the Art Institute of Chicago’s extraordinary collection of Pablo Picasso’s paintings, sculpture, prints and drawings, as well as major loans from private collections. This exhibition is the first major Picasso exhibition organized by the Art Institute in almost 30 years. You’ll have an orchestra seat to watch the Tony-award winning musical comedy “Catch Me If You Can,” based on the 2002 film of the same name. It ran on Broadway in 2011 and is now touring across the U.S. The story is about young con man Frank Abagnale, Jr. who was able to successfully impersonate a teacher, a commercial airline pilot, a doctor at a children’s hospital and a Secret Service Agent in the 1960s.

Spend the night at the iconic The Drake Hotel overlooking Lake Michigan on the Magnificent Mile, just steps from Water Tower Place and some of the best shopping and restaurants in the world. Opening in 1920 as one of the nation’s first urban resorts, The Drake Hotel, Chicago, was built to inspire awe and emulation and quickly acquired the premier position as Chicago's most distinguished hotel.
